ISAL 2013
Symposia on Automotive Lighting have a long tradition at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Starting in 1995 the first symposium took place in the “Kekulé” lecture room at the TU Darmstadt. Since then, nearly two decades have elapsed and the location of the event has been changed to the immense and representative new congress centre “darmstadtium”. After having welcomed more than 600 experts at ISAL 2011, it will be our greatest pleasure to welcome all relevant international stakeholders of automotive lighting industry in 2013 again at the tenth anniversary of this well-known conference series.
Overcoming many challenges in the past years, industry is facing new objectives today. Latest research and development focuses on full LED headlamps with adaptive lighting functions to improve safety aspects and driving comfort. As a major topic, LED low beam headlamps with an electrical power of about 13 W are intensively discussed.
ISAL 2013 will encourage the exchange between lighting engineers, road safety experts and regulative bodies. They will present the most recent results of research and development to continue the established traditions of this conference to be able to promote a bright future for automotive lighting.
