Simon Reis Awarded Friedrich-Dessauer-Preis for Innovative Vehicle Lighting

On February 2, 2024, Simon Reis was honored with the Friedrich-Dessauer-Preis at the TU Darmstadt's machinery hall for his bachelor's thesis “Construction and Characterization of a Camera-Spotlight System for Realizing a Situationally Adaptive Spotlight Distribution in Vehicles”.

This thesis, created at the Department for Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing under the leadership of Korbinian Kunst and David Hoffmann, represents an innovative contribution to the development of intelligent vehicle lighting systems. The VDE Rhein-Main awards the Friedrich-Dessauer-Preis annually for the best final theses of a graduating class in the fields of Electrical Engineering/Information Technology.
