Summer party and general meeting of the association of friends 2022

On July 8, the annual summer party of the “Verein der Freunde des Fachgebiets Lichttechnik der Technische Universität Darmstadt e.V.” (“Association of Friends of the Laboratory of Lighting Technology of the TU Darmstadt e.V.”) took place for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. After the annual general meeting, around 60 members, friends of the department as well as guests came together in sunny weather to exchange ideas and celebrate.

As before, the celebration took place in the illuminated ambiance of the Piloty Building courtyard. After the meal, an exciting tour led through the laboratories of the Laboratory of Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing. The guests were informed about current research work at the laboratory and had the opportunity to discuss perspectives and future challenges in the field of lighting technology with the staff. Afterwards, the scientific staff invited to cocktails in the courtyard to end the evening on a festive note.
As a discussion point of the general meeting, it was voted that the name of the association, analogous to the name change of the laboratory, will also be changed.
