SIA VISION 2022 in Paris

This year's SIA VISION conference took place in Paris from October 19 to 20, 2022. The working group Automotive Lighting Technology of the Laboratory of Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing was also present with two presentations.

The conference already started on 18 October 2022 with the pre-event welcome dinner, which gave the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with colleagues from the automotive lighting technology community. The conference itself was characterised by interesting presentations on current developments and future challenges and approaches to solutions in the field of automotive lighting and adaptive driver assistance systems (ADAS). The conference also focused on the topics of autonomous driving and sustainability. In addition to the many interesting technical presentations, there was the opportunity to experience the latest developments live on exhibition booths and vehicles in the exhibition and to enter into a technical exchange with the developers.

The Laboratory of Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing was represented by the two research associates David Hoffmann and Anil Erkan. In addition, Prof. Khanh took part in the round table on regulations concerning lighting technology and driver assistance systems.

The trip to Paris was concluded with a visit to the Tier 1 supplier Valeo. Here, the latest developments and future visions in the field of automotive lighting technology were presented in a tour. The visit was also used to discuss future cooperation opportunities.
